Hey Diary,
 
 
It's Meatless Friday again, and today I enjoyed a fantastic lunch of Seared Wild Red Salmon cooked in Red Palm Fruit Oil and Vegetable Salad.  It was absolutely delicious.
First of all, I was literally blow away by the rich flavor of this Red Palm Fruit Oil and how it wonderfully fused  with in the Salmon and seasonings. And secondly, although, I've had the jar of Red Palm Oil sitting in my fridge, I've never used it until today. 
I really did not know what a Red Palm Fruit was less more in knowing that the Red Palm Fruit has oil in it. So I...., Googled it! 
What is Red Palm Fruit Oil? The short of it is..., Red Palm Fruit Oil comes from the palm tree, it has rich strong red color with comes from carotenes and loaded with high amounts of vitamin A aamong other nutritious essentials.
JJ Virgin recommends Malaysian Palm Fruit Oil and says that it is hard to find, but worth looking for. I have not been able to find Malaysian Red Palm Fruit Oil to date, but I'll keep trying.  As for now, I use a Virgin Red Palm Fruit Oil which is labeled from Africa. I also have a jar Trader's Joe Organic Red Palm Oil from Ecuador as well.   They are both unbelievably good!  So good that I wanted to know more about the health benefits and weight loss properties of all the Healthy Fats (Oils): Red Palm Fruit Oil, Coconut Oil, Ghee of Clarified Butter, and  Extra Virgin Olive Oil.
This changes everything! It's an Oil Game Changer.
What I mean when I say an Oil Game Changer is that, the cooking oils of my family when I was growing up included: butter, margarine, vegetable Oil (vegetable oil? which vegetable?...shrugging shoulders-had no idea), and corn Oil. When I became a teenager, I began exploring other cooking oils options such as: Peanut Oils, Sunflower Oils, Safflower Oils, and other butter alternatives. But, since following The Virgin Diet by JJ Virgin, I have newfound edible cooking oils with purposeful health benefits and tastefully good qualities.

Here are my Oil Game Changers:
  1. Red Palm Fruit Oil, my newfound healthy oil. I'll use this one more often.
  2. Coconut Oil, my number 1 favorite oil that I cook everything in. I sometimes add a teaspoon to my cup of morning coffee. Yummy!
  3. Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Everything , everything, everything goes well with EVOO, I love it! Salad actually come alive with EVOO's
  4. Ghee( Clarified Butter)  Lusciousness at best. The flavor speaks volumes, Mmmmmm....good and gooder and goodest!
Each healthy oil has it own cooking qualities and temperature cooking specifics, so I always read the label for heating limits. For instance, JJ Virgin says  Extra Virgin Olive Oil is recommended for at medium heat cooking, never high temperature.
From cooking to eating,  these edible healthy oil wonders have changed my approach to how I prepare my meals with a broader perspective on healthy meals. There are many health benefits of these beautiful oils.... just Google it! I did!
My Virgin Diet journey continues and everyday, I discover more and more reasons why this diet is just right for me.
So, I just keep on keeping on.
